Mark Schlinkert - lead

Mark grew up around barbershop music with a huge influence from his father, Tom and mother Marianne. He recalls the faint sounds of his father's quartet, the Roaring 20s, singing him to sleep at night. Mark's father, Tom, was a founding member of The Roaring 20s from the Cincinnati area. As you can imagine, Marks vocal training began quite early. When Mark was 16 he became a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society. You see, he wasn’t allowed to join the society any earlier because of his poor school grades. That’s when he began paying his sister to do his homework.

Whether it was exposure to singing or a shear love for the stage, Mark has become one of the most commanding lead singers you will ever witness. In addition, Mark has held a variety of leadership positions for several different barbershop chapters and now is the Director of Music and Performance for the Sunshine District. Mark, his incredible wife Kristin and their three children Joshua, Jacob and April call Orlando, FL home. Mark works as an Operations Manager for Mac Papers, a distributor of fine printing papers.
