Jerry Johnson - bass

Jerry Johnson has been a Barbershopper since 1993. Jerry has sung in church choirs and small groups since he was a teenager, but his first love is barbershop harmony (just ask his wife). Jerry is active in a chorus, Harmonious Hunks and many musical ensembles at his church. In spite of the fact that he has never had a voice lesson or any formal music education (poor thing, he should have!), Jerry is one of the most naturally talented singers you will ever meet. He was simply blessed with an adequate natural bass voice and a developing love of barbershop harmony that motivates him to work hard. Jerry is on the Board of Directors in the Sunshine District (State of Florida) of the Barbershop Harmony Society as a Large Board Member.

Jerry has a terrific family that supports his love of barbershop music. Deb, his wife of more than 25 years, Dana his college-age daughter, and son Britt all like to watch their pop sing like a bird… a big burly bird with a low growl. The sound resembles that of an angry ostrich. Jerry and his loved ones live in Jacksonville, FL.
